Trackmania never ceases to amaze with brilliant themed track builds. Today we have an entire CITY to race through! Blazing past traffic cars, hydrants, pedestrians and traffic lights, we are also zooping along buildings, rooftops and a football field. A truly unique challenge!

The Cup Of The Day (COTD) is a daily free-for-all competition which is played on every new Track of the Day each day at 7PM CEST - available for everyone with paid access to Trackmania.
Format rundown:
- 15 minute map discovery in TIME ATTACK
- according to the time attack standings, players will be grouped in servers of 64
- on each server, a KNOCKOUT mode will be played in which last place finishers will get eliminated until the last player is standing

This is my personal best time and current world record at the time of upload on Stadium B15.
Former WR: 1:04.773 by CarlJr (+0.130)
I played this one randomly out of curiosity and found myself beating the old WR rather quickly. Guess noone bothered to really hunt this xD
Its a pretty basic track, very precision-based and with one crucial part - that being the uphill after the upwards ramp jump. In all three laps you slam right into the uphill which requires a very specific setup in order to maintain ground contact after the landing.
In lap 1 you need to land slightly rotated to the left to achieve a diagonal approach over the hill to keep the wheels grounded. Another important thing is to remain in the higher gear, meaning that the cars rotation needs to be on point. Too little of a rotation and you wont get the nojump, too big of a rotation and you will slide too much and lose your gear. Its about finding the perfect balance. The higher gear needs to be kept especially due to the freewheel block coming up after the left hander. That one seperates the players keeping the higher gear and those who shift down.
In the flying laps, the approach for that uphill landing-to-nojump combination is a bit different due to the higher entry speed. I am pretty sure there is a more optimal approach to what I (and the former WR) used here but this seems to do the job so far. The goal is to land straight, time the airbrake accordingly and release shortly just before the landing. Then you hope for the wheels to stick to the ground xD The faster you approach the jump, the earlier you need to airbrake.
The remaining turns are fullspeed precision, surely satisfying to nail those!
I kinda enjoyed hunting this one for as long as it lasted, even though the nojumps (especially in the flying laps) really burnt my bacon since theyre really precise and really punishing. I think a .4 is doable here with the current strategies, both of my flying lap nojumps were ok but not super optimized. Anyway, a WR is a WR, right? :)

The TrackMania Grand League returns for 2020 with the first official season! This time around, I will not be sitting on the commentators couch - instead I am on the racing tracks myself, holding up the flag for my new team Nordavind DNB.
With a slightly altered ruleset, 16 players representing different organisations from all over the globe will compete for the qualification into the playoffs where a prize pool of 10.000€ awaits.
Will 2019 champion Kappa be dethroned? Who will make it into the playoffs? Cheer for your favorite player & organisation!
Since I cannot stream my POV, I have recorded everything locally and recapped the race afterwards on my stream; giving you insight into my thought process and mindset, analysing situations and mistakes. I think thisll be quite interesting for most of you!
Third-person casts are available by multiple streamers in any case, though.
â–º Notable changes compared to the BETA season from 2019:
- 6 steps in the first phase (formerly 10 steps until the playoffs)
- 6 maps per step (formerly 5 maps per step)
- 6 laps per map (formerly 10 laps per map)
- point loss starting from map 4 onwards (formerly point loss kicked in on map 2)
- shorter warm-up
- 10 minute half-time break
