This is a world record battle between Taxon and myself on "Lost Gate", a track built by user "Archimed" which was chosen as the Track of the Day the 11th of July 2020.
Players have 24 hours to set the fastest time on this track with leaderboards opening and ending at 7PM CEST every day.
This track is one of the most memorable ones in the "Track of the Day" selection so far with an absolutely fantastic landscape, a great atmosphere and a well-huntable driving route which also allows for many different lines and small timesavers.
From precise drifts to speedslides over to noslides - this track got it all; despite being a very simple route. Sometimes, less is more.
I decided to chip in two replays this time as the two replays portray the aforementioned possibilities of taking different lines very well. Sadly, I wasn't able to spot that superior line near the end and ended up losing my #1 spot on the leaderboard less than an hour before the leaderboards closed for this track.

The TrackMania Grand League returns for 2020 with the first official season! This time around, I will not be sitting on the commentators couch - instead I am on the racing tracks myself, holding up the flag for my new team Nordavind DNB.
With a slightly altered ruleset, 16 players representing different organisations from all over the globe will compete for the qualification into the playoffs where a prize pool of 10.000€ awaits.
Will 2019 champion Kappa be dethroned? Who will make it into the playoffs? Cheer for your favorite player & organisation!
Since I cannot stream my POV, I have recorded everything locally and recapped the race afterwards on my stream; giving you insight into my thought process and mindset, analysing situations and mistakes. I think thisll be quite interesting for most of you!
Third-person casts are available by multiple streamers in any case, though.
► Notable changes compared to the BETA season from 2019:
- 6 steps in the first phase (formerly 10 steps until the playoffs)
- 6 maps per step (formerly 5 maps per step)
- 6 laps per map (formerly 10 laps per map)
- point loss starting from map 4 onwards (formerly point loss kicked in on map 2)
- shorter warm-up
- 10 minute half-time break

The Trackmania Grand League is coming to its final stage and after the season 2 champion CarlJr has been crowned in the playoffs, it is now time to determine who remains in the league and who drops out.
In four different game modes, 16 players (bottom 8 TMGL groupstage + top8 OGL groupstage) have to prove themselves worthy of competing in the next season of the TMGL. Spread across two playdays, the action is tense as I have to fight a set of amazing players for the spot in season 3.
