So, I was doing some planning for this story while my brother helped me out with mapping their world, and it reminded me I needed to finish this (I hate it, but truly, vidding these two is IMPOSSIBLE, so I'm just going to accept it is what it is and upload it) - because Riven deserves better. I don't talk about him enough.

Don’t get me wrong, Scoro’s wonderful, I love him to bits (and, if Solemn had had longer to grow he'd probably have been a perfectly good match for Aetari, too), but I’m about to break down some of the reasons Riven is actually the best man in Aetari’s life (I’m not even going to include the other men in Aetari’s family, see Corvus is an absolute arse, in this, just the potential love interests). Forgive me - coherency may go out of the window in favour of passion.

For a start, Riven falls in love with Aetari at the worst moment in her entire life. Solemn gets an idealised version of her (she's in a new place, surrounded by new people - she stamps down some of her less desirable traits to garner favour), and Scoro might know her best, but until Solemn's victory, their entire existence had been pretty charmed, so he's never had to deal with her at her worst.
Riven does. Riven gets the angry, bitter, heartbroken Aetari, and he still falls for her. Even after Ashin begins to doubt her, after even Euphoria gives up. He's the one who gets her to remember that even if Corvus and Scoro seem to have betrayed her, there's still goodness in the world.

Solemn's interest in Aetari is, almost entirely physical. Before he even began his invasion, he'd heard of her and his interest was piqued. It was more of a reason for his invasion that even land or resources. He eventually develops a genuine interest in her as a person and genuine affection if not love, but his primary way of relating to her is physical.

Even after realising Aetari loved/potentially still loves Scoro, Riven goes on a rescue mission to save him. Only because he knows how much he means to Aetari - even if she's in denial after his supposed betrayal. After the death of Aetari's father, Solemn agreed to attend the mourning week, but spent most of it keeping an eye on Aetari/Scoro's closeness and going out of his way to keep them apart (what I'm basically saying is he would absolutely have left Scoro to Corvus's 'mercy', regardless of Aetari's feelings).

So, yeah. Riven's the best and deserves better.
