instructional video on repair of intermittent crimped connectors in the Icom IC-211 . More information on how to repair these crimped on connections . The wire they used in the IC-211 is stranded bare copper that is not plated .After 30 years this wire develops tarnish or corrosion between the connector itself and the wire .these are crimped properly and the wire is shiny copper BUT a microscopic layer of tarnish or corrosion forms a film between the wires and the crimped on connector causing this intermittent condition. Note in the first video I had cleaned the encoder dick and sensors with a tiny paint brush this works fine but using a pipe cleaner from the craft store with alcohol works better. 73 BOB
