I spotted this gauge on Ebay ebay number 271757785983 sold by MFREELAA in Walton Kentucky with shipping included and I was surprised that it said it would operate at 4 to 25 volts . I have had my Model A Ford overheat a few times over the years and decided that a gauge like this would work and could show the temperature at the hottest cylinder which is at the rear of the engine . Since I installed it in December in Michigan I will have to wait to see just how hot that rear cylinder gets I hope it will not go over 230 degrees but I don't know for sure at this time .
I figured out how to mount the little sensor on top of the rear cylinder as shown in the video the mounting and installation is very simple the temperature gauge itself is fastened behind the steering wheel with 3-M sticky foam strip available in many stores . The temperature gauge ordered on Ebay arrived in less than a week and since it is plastic it can be mounted as positive ground or negative . I am hoping that during hot weather the temperature readout will show me if the engine is near boiling over .
Remember if you have an original Model A Ford the chassis ground is the red wire or plus and the hot wire is black or the minus wire . This temperature gauge reads up to 230 degrees fahrenheit or 110 degrees celsius to change
it from celcius to fahrenheit just pull out the little black plug in the back with tweezers or small long nose pliers . keep those Model A FORDS rolling guys
