Batman: Arkham is a series of action-adventure video games based on the DC Comics character Batman, developed by Rocksteady Studios and WB Games Montréal, and published originally by Eidos Interactive and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. The franchise consists of four main installments and an upcoming spin-off, along with four smaller titles for mobile devices, a virtual reality game, and tie-in comic books and an animated film. The continuity established by the games is often referred to as the Arkhamverse, and is part of the larger DC Multiverse.
Eidos had obtained the rights to make a Batman game from Warner Bros. in early 2007 and approached Rocksteady. The first two games in the series, Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City, were written by veteran Batman writer Paul Dini and featured voice actors Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill reprising their roles as Batman and the Joker, respectively, from the DC Animated Universe (DCAU). Conroy and Hamill returned to voice their characters in the fourth main installment of the series, Batman: Arkham Knight. Additional voice actors who reprised their characters from the DCAU include Arleen Sorkin as Harley Quinn in Batman: Arkham Asylum and Robert Costanzo and CCH Pounder as Harvey Bullock and Amanda Waller in Batman: Arkham Origins, respectively.
The main games in the Batman: Arkham series have been met with positive commercial success and critical acclaim, with praise for their narratives, voice acting, world design, graphics, and gameplay. The games have collectively sold more than 30 million copies worldwide.
he series has received widespread critical acclaim and commercial success, achieving lifetime international sales of 30+ million copies worldwide and high scores from critics and gamers. Arkham Asylum sold more than 9.4 million copies and held the Guinness World Record for Most Critically Acclaimed Superhero Game Ever based on an average Metacritic score of 91.67, but was replaced by its sequel Arkham City in 2011. The game was praised as reaching to a darker side of Batman not seen in video games before. It was also acclaimed for its polished combat and stealth gameplay, as well as selection of gadgets at Batman's disposal and the extensive comic book lore and easter eggs planted all over the map of Arkham Asylum. Arkham Asylum also received positive feedback for its choice in voice actors, such as Mark Hamill and Kevin Conroy as The Joker and Batman, respectively. The Guardian included the game on its list of the 50 best videogames of the 21st century.
Arkham City has received the highest critical acclaim of the series, sold over 14 million copies worldwide and won multiple awards, and is considered the greatest comic book video game of all time. It was heralded as taking the already innovative and intricate gameplay of its predecessor and largely expanding on it, as well as opening gameplay to a larger, greater detailed and intricate map. Hamill's return as a sick and dying Joker was very well taken by fans and critics alike, as well as the addition of other villains and heroes such as Robin, Catwoman, Hugo Strange, Calendar Man, and The Penguin. Arkham City currently holds Guinness World Record for Most Critically Acclaimed Superhero Game Ever with the average GameRankings score of 95.94%. Metacritic put the game among the best videogames of the decade 2010–2019.

All the thoughts in this video are purely my opinion so if you disagree thats ok. Im open to having discussions with you guys as long as it stays civil. I hope you guys enjoy this video and thanks so much for 19K subscribers. Its wild.
The following is a brief summary of the game.
Assassins Creed: Odyssey is the eleventh main installment in the Assassins Creed series developed by Ubisoft. The game was primarily developed by Ubisoft Québec, which had previously worked on Assassins Creed: Syndicate. The concept for the game emerged in 2015, as the team was wrapping up development on Syndicate. In the shift to an RPG-esque game, inspiration was taken from titles such as The Witcher 3, Fallout, and The Elder Scrolls, in regards to the idea of player choice. The development team engaged in communication with the team behind Assassins Creed: Origins; it was decided to quote: push [the series] forward with the introduction of RPG elements. The setting of ancient Greece was chosen as it was one of the most requested settings from the fanbase.
Odyssey uses a lot of the same graphics technology as Origins. Far more colour was used in the game; the designers tried to tap into the notion that the ancient Greeks believed that their land was built by the gods, thus the use of vibrant colours. There was pushback against the ordinary depictions of ancient Greece, which lean on it being an arid place with an emphasis on white and gold. The end result is intended to be a middle-ground between historical accuracy and vibrancy.
The games genetic memory story is set in 431 BCE, recounting the secret history of the Peloponnesian War, fought between the city-states of ancient Greece. The protagonist is a mercenary named either Alexios or Kassandra who can choose to fight for either Athens and the Delian League or Sparta and the Peloponnesian League, as well as against the Cult of Kosmos. The modern-day segments will again follow Layla Hassan, who was first introduced in Assassins Creed Origins, and her story will touch on the Isu.
Odyssey uses a lot of the gameplay and interface mechanics of Origins, including the radial compass, and the return of a bird that can survey the landscape, spot treasure, and highlight and harass enemies.
The game features RPG elements, including dialogue options, branching quests, multiple possible endings, romance options, and the ability to select between a male or female protagonist. Reportedly, the game is a full RPG, and will push the franchise into this genre. Both Alexios and Kassandra follow the same story. Romance options remain the same regardless of the character chosen. Interactions with NPCs can have consequences, either short or long term, in regards to the story. Choices are said to add up. Relationships with NPCs dont always change, and there is no binary divide in regards to interaction—lying to an NPC isnt necessarily a bad choice, and vice versa. By extension, there is no right way to play the game in regards to character choice.
Gear can be selected, and is classified by rarity. Each piece of gear can be enhanced with engravings. Players also have access to a skill tree, and can follow a branch to better suit their playstyle. Compared to Origins, the skill tree is more clear cut in Odyssey, and players can unlock high tier versions of pre-existing skills. In combat, the hitbox system for enemies is used again.
The game world has been described as the biggest one yet for the franchise; specifically, the game map is 100 square miles, split evenly between land and sea. Environments range from forests to mountains, to beaches. Legendary animals can be hunted on land. The world is divided into the number of zones divided by level (similar to an MMO), but level scaling features to a point. For instance, if a player starts at a level 2 zone, then returns after having reached level 20, the enemies there will be scaled up to be 2-3 below the players character.
The Sparta-Athens divide is represented in-game with a red or blue border along each region to indicate which of the city-states has control. 28 city-states feature in the game, each of which is allied with either Sparta or Athens. Each city-state has a national power level. If one city-state leader is weakened (e.g. by assassinating their leader), other faction leaders will invade their state. If the invading army is defeated, the nations power is reset. The army will invade regardless of the players actions, but they can involve themselves in the battle.
