The most insanely self indulgent thing I’ll ever post. I made this video for me and me alone.

So if you hadn’t caught my YT community post from a few weeks back, the reason those edits I was planning on making weren’t being made is because my absolute fiend of a friend @DreamingWithDragons (with help from other co-conspirators @thenight130, @xXDracoBrooklynXx, and @QuickWhitStudio) was once again successful in getting me to love one of her favorite things by finally convincing me to play Baldur’s Gate 3. And let’s just say. I may or may not. Have played the game. Every single day. For about 9-10 hours a day. And finished it. In less than a month. The brain rot is real. And it’s bad.

I always knew one day I was gonna get around to playing this game, and, knowing the DND and RPG mechanics the game had, I told myself I’d play one of my pre-existing characters on my first go around. Just ‘cause I knew it’d be easier navigating the dialogue choices if I knew the character’s personality like the back of my hand. But, more specifically, I wanted to play as the first character I ever crafted for a RP with a fantasy setting: Nita from The Traitor Within Us (since renamed to Namuunaa to separate her from her animated face claim). One of the major things I knew about this game was, of course, the very involved romances you can have with the other companion characters. But because my girl is Very Ace, I didn’t know if I’d be convinced to have her be in a romance with anyone. And then she had about 3 conversations with Gale and I was like “that one. she likes that one”. And the more I kept playing, the more convinced I was at how well the two worked together and so deeper and deeper into the pit I fell. God the ESSAY I could write about these two and why they’re just. So perfect together. I really wasn’t expecting to love them that much as a ship but what can I say, my girl gets stuck in my favorite ships I guess. And so I decided to be self-indulgent and make an edit of them because fuck it!! I can!!!

Originally I wanted to use the song Drag Path by 21 Pilots but that song tends to be uh. Blocked. Like everywhere. So it would’ve been really hard to upload it to the channel. Plus, the song is pretty long and there’s only so much I can do when Only One of Them Talks during the romance scenes. But I was relistening to this song and the lyrics were SO perfect for the two of them, plus doing a smaller edit I knew would’ve been a bit easier for me (tho it did mean I now had the opposite problem where I had to cut a lot of shots and moments that I really liked).

I do have to shout out my friends though, mainly Sophie and Millie. Millie for being an absolute GEM and gifting me this game when I said casually that I wanted to finally play it but couldn’t afford it at the time. And Sophie for often being on multiple late night calls with me and helping me navigate this game, since this was my first time actually playing a video game (the last time i played any game is when i was 11 and the game was Wii Sports). You both are such awesome friends and thank you for helping this poor newbie gamer find her footing in what was genuinely a super fun experience!

And a special shout out to @UnstableObsessions who helped upscale some of these clips for me! My recording software wasn't always able to get the high def graphics of the game unfortunately, but I'm very grateful Clarity gave me a helping hand in having them look slightly better!

Also. Yes. “Scruffy faced brown haired man with a charming personality who uses magic irresponsibly but ultimately is really just trying to make amends for his mistakes” is indeed Namuunaa’s Type. I am not blind to the blatant parallels, I assure you XD.

PS: I plan on replaying this game with other RP OCs of mine, my next one being Devon from CM/BMR! Very excited to see where that goes!
