In today’s episode, I’m in Sussex, Wisconsin taking on "The" Kitchen’s Impossible Breakfast Challenge which is the biggest one in the state, and keeps growing with every attempt!
"The" Kitchen is a cozy, family-owned diner known for its hearty comfort food, welcoming atmosphere, and very generous portions. The restaurant offers a wide menu of scratch-made dishes, including all-day breakfast favorites, burgers, BBQ, and classic American comfort meals, making it a popular spot for both locals and visitors. With friendly service, affordable prices, and a relaxed, home-style vibe, it’s the kind of place where you can enjoy a filling meal that feels just like something homemade. Also the owners here are lovely people and made my experience one of a kind!
"The" Kitchen’s Breakfast Challenge is an absolute monster. It features 8 large chocolate chip pancakes, a country fried steak smothered in sausage gravy, 12 eggs cooked to your liking, 10 halves of toast, 10 strips of thick-cut bacon, 6 sausages, 10 two-ounce sausage links, a massive pile of hash browns, biscuits and gravy, a steak and cheese bagel, an egg and bacon bagel, a ham and cheese bagel, 3 pieces of French toast, and finally, a country fried steak wrap. The amount of food has grown a ton since the first few attempts... and for some reason, it just keeps getting bigger. You’ve got 45 minutes to finish everything to get the $45 meal is free (which is honestly a crazy steal), plus you’ll earn a T-shirt and a spot on their Wall of Fame!
