Today, I am starting my journey my home in Canada to the most dangerous country in the world, Afghanistan. This is quite an uncertain journey for me as I have to fly all the way from Montreal to Dubai simply to get my tourist visa for Afghanistan. This means that I might be going all the way to Dubai for nothing if my visa application gets rejected... Let's hope for the best.

My first step was to take a flight on Emirates Airlines from Montreal to Dubai which was very nice, no surprises there. I then gave myself 2 days to figure out the visa process and to my surprise, it took no time. Within 30 minutes I was in and out of the Afghan Consulate in Dubai with the visa inside my passport ready to go. So it gave me a free day to just work, relax a little and anticipate my upcoming trip.
Then the big day came. I took a Fly Dubai flight from Dubai to Kabul, the capital city of Afghanistan. This is where the real adventure begins!
