I've been looking for years for a drill press like this one. I found this not too far away in an old woodworking shop which had been recently purchased to be used to make cabinetry, and this old drill press wasn't needed anymore. There seemed to be some interest in it already so I had a look as quick as I could and it looked good, though I admit that the show was poorly lit and I should have taken a bit more time to look under the table. Because what I found was going to completely turn me off of this restoration for a while.

I like these old machines, they are built to last, so if it can be made to work properly, I may well have it for the rest of my life. One major downside is that it is ultra-heavy, not so easy to move around, it will have to be mounted to a cabinet on wheels later on.
Hopefully you enjoy the video. I'm working towards showing as many of the problems and then solutions as I can along the way with the goal of giving you the most entertainment out of my mistakes and troubles as possible.
For anyone looking for 3D printing videos, I am working on them, so please bare with me. I have some video coming which integrate both the 3D printing and tools very nicely.
