*What could possibly be hidden inside an old black suitcase?*
When I first saw this mysterious antique suitcase, I knew I had to bring it to my little Organ-Studio-On-The-Roof. At first glance it looks like an ordinary travel case... but appearances can be deceiving. In this video I reveal what was hidden inside and play Flor Peeters’ beautiful Op. 17 No. 18 (Lied) on this fascinating historic German instrument from 23 December 1929.
To conclude the video, I perform the first piece from César Franck’s L’Organiste on my warm-sounding 1880 Belgian harmonium, allowing you to compare the unique voices of two remarkable reed instruments from different eras.
