I found another collection of 12 (short) forgotten English Preludes! They are written by Arthur W. Marchant (1850-1921) in a typical Victorian style with lots of chromatisms. Those chromatic movements were considered obsolete”around 1950 (old fashioned) which is the prime reason why this kind of music is less heard today. But I like it! And I hope you do too! Today I publish 5 pieces. All have a distinct style and color.

Arthur Wellesley Marchant (1856–1928) was an English organist, composer, and church musician. He studied music at the University of Oxford, earning his Bachelor of Music degree in 1878. During his career he served as organist and choirmaster at several Anglican churches and became known for his contributions to Victorian church music. His output includes organ voluntaries, hymn tunes, anthems, and other liturgical works, written in a melodious and accessible late-Romantic style. Many of his organ pieces were intended for practical church use and remained popular with parish organists well into the 20th century.
