Originating in Sheffield, England and after undergoing numerous personnel changes, the group became one of the most successful recording acts of the early 80s Their album, “Dare”, was a worldwide success, reaching #1 in the UK and #3 in the US. The album also featured “Don’t You Want Me”, which reached #1 in both the US and the UK.
Martin Rushent was an active producer in the 80s, working with such acts as the Buzzcocks, Altered Images, the Go-Gos and the Stranglers.
