Apollo 100 were a short-lived UK band, put together by Tom Parker in the early 70s. In 1972, they reached #6 in the US with “Joy”, based on the work by J.S. Bach. The ensuing album reached #47 on the US album chart.
Ostensibly, Apollo 100 broke up in 1973 but their name graced a number of releases in different countries throughout the 70s – including this album, which was also released in Japan and Australia (where it was titled, “Popular Classics”).
