Do your roots fall flat even when your curls look defined?

Root volume isn’t just about products.
It’s about when and how you diffuse.
Using the diffuser prongs helps lift the hair away from the scalp so the curl pattern can actually set with shape and space. Even if your roots are naturally straighter, this still makes a difference.
The sweet spot is when your hair is:
not soaking wet
not fully dry
somewhere in between
Too wet and nothing holds.
Too dry and you can’t reshape it.
That mid-dry stage is when scrunching with the diffuser really locks in lift and curl pattern.
I also don’t start at the ends and scrunch all the way up.
I start midway and work into the root, so the volume builds from the scalp, not just the bottom.
It’s small adjustments like this that turn “pretty curls” into curls that actually last and have shape.
