Do you feel like scrunching helps your curls… but also somehow creates frizz?

Scrunching and diffusing work the same way. They can either enhance your curl clumps or rough them up, depending on how intentional your hands are.
When I scrunch, I’m watching for any hairs that pop out of the clump.
Those little flyaways are usually what turn into frizz later.
Instead of rushing through it, I:
Try to capture as much hair as possible in each scrunch
Twirl pieces that pop out right back into the clump
Use a tiny bit of gel on my fingertips for baby hairs and grays
Fix it while it’s wet instead of fighting it later
It’s always easier to clean things up now than trying to correct frizz after your hair has dried.
This is the kind of detail that changes how your curls dry and how long your results last.
