About this video: This video shows you how to update Minecraft Bedrock Edition on your PC. We’re going to go over all of the different methods to ensure you get updated no matter what!
The first way to update is just by opening the Minecraft Launcher. Things should update automatically. You can see your current Bedrock version in the bottom left of the main menu.
However, what if things don’t update when doing this? Well, first things first, make sure you’re connected to the internet. That is required for things to update.
From there, open up the Microsoft Store. Then, click “Downloads” in the bottom left. There will be a “Check for updates” button in the top right. There is a chance that Minecraft will be here, and you can update.
If it’s not there though, open up the Xbox App. On the left-hand side, you will see Minecraft Launcher. Hover over it and click the three dots. Click manage, and then “Check for Updates”. Repeat this if you have “Minecraft for Windows” in your library as well.
Finally, if none of those work, click to Manage Minecraft/the Minecraft Launcher in the Xbox App and click “verify and repair” to confirm that the files are the most up to date.
With that, you should be able to open up Minecraft Bedrock Edition on Windows, and it will work. It’s now fully updated.
