How to Turn Demo Mode On or Off on a Whirlpool Oven
Demo Mode (also called Store Mode) is used in showrooms so the oven looks like it works, but it won’t heat or cook. If your oven is stuck in this mode, the controls may respond but nothing will actually turn on.
Here are the most common Whirlpool methods to turn it on or off.
Method 1: Settings Menu (Most Common on New Models)
Press SETTINGS or TOOLS
Scroll to INFO or STORE DEMO MODE
Select DEMO MODE
Choose:
OFF to disable Demo Mode
ON to enable Demo Mode
Press START / YES / CONFIRM
Method 2: “Try the Product” Menu (Touchscreen Models)
Tap TRY THE PRODUCT
Select EXPLORE

Make sure oven is in standby (showing time only)

Important Notes
In Demo Mode, the oven will not heat at all
Displays and lights may still work normally
After a power outage or reset, some models may re-enter Demo Mode
