Over the last seven years, I’ve had the chance to interview incredible people on my podcast. One lesson from Jordan Armstrong hit home for me and has served me well: “What gets tracked gets improved.”
It’s 100% true, and I took it to heart - maybe a little too much. I started tracking everything, including my personal life.
What started as a good practice turned into perfectionism. When that happens, you start to question yourself. You doubt your ability to hit your goals and wonder if the numbers even matter.
Overtime my takeaway has been to track what’s necessary to improve, not everything. (and this will change depending on the season of life!)
