Kate Brizzi graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and completed her residency in the Partners Neurology Residency program. She served as a chief resident from 2014-2015 and then went on to a fellowship in the Advanced General and Autoimmune Neurology Fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH). Subsequently, she completed a fellowship in Palliative Care through the combined Harvard Program at MGH and Dana Farber Cancer Institute. Kate has recently joined the faculty at MGH in the department of neurology and in the department of medicine, division of palliative care. Kate is interested in the intersection of neurology and palliative care, with specific interests in trainee education and enhancing provider communication tools. She has published numerous papers focusing on neurodegenerative diseases including one that detailed and compared PALS and caregiver day-to-day perspectives of ALS. Currently, she is part of a neuro palliative care clinic at MGH to serve the needs of patients with serious neurologic illnesses.
