1-2 tablespoons Italian seasoning
1/4 teaspoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon or more red pepper flakes
To make the dough:
1. Combine flour, yeast, salt, and sugar in the bowl of a stand mixer. Slowly mix in the warm water. Use the dough hook attachment to knead the dough for 7 to 8 minutes. Coat the dough and sides of the bowl in olive oil.
2. Cover the dough with a towel and let rise for 1 to 2 hours, or until doubled in size.
3. While the dough is rising make your sauce.
To make the sauce:
Combine all ingredients in a sauce pan and simmer on low heat.
4. Once the dough has doubled in size roll out on a floured surface and shape into a circle. Place on a pizza pan and brush the crust with olive oil. Top with sauce and cheese. Add any other desired toppings. Bake in a 450° oven for 10-12 minutes.
