How to Make an RC Magnet Hatch for Newbies
In this video I will go over in detail how to make an RC magnet hatch for newbies. These hatches are very easy to make and utilize a rare earth magnet that attaches to an adjustable screw.
Rare earth magnets are best for this task as the rare earth magnets are very powerful, and available for purchase on Amazon.
The hatch is fitted in place on the fuselage and the magnet is glued in place. You will have to construct a small extension for the metal bolt in the fuselage for the magnet to attach against. Again, the bolt makes it very easy to adjust up or down for a good fit with the magnet.
The hatch can be located anywhere on the fuselage. In this case, I decided to put the hatch on the fuselage side. After initial test flights, I may move the hatch to the fuselage top, which will provide a bit easier access to the battery.
