Find Swept Wing Center of Gravity
Inn this video I will go over an easy method, using graphics, to find the center of gravity of a wing. In short, a fast and easy way to find swept wing center of gravity.
This approach is geared to model aircraft. All airplanes need to be balanced at the correct center of gravity (CG) or they may not fly correctly. The center of gravity is shown on most model airplane planes with a CG symbol. However, some glides and almost ready to fly models may not show this information and the following is an easy way to determine the center of gravity.
Note that this method will find the center of gravity for straight (constant chord) and swept wings. This will work for all sorts of model aircraft from free flight to radio control model planes. In the video I will show three demonstrations of this method.
