Sig 1910 Deperdussin RC Airplane Kit
This video covers my build and maiden flight of the Sig 1910 Deperdussin RC airplane kit. The Deperdussin is a very well designed kit with laser cut wood and a complete building guide, which you can download from the internet. The SigMfg.com website is well designed and contains all the information you need to purchase this RC airplane kit.
Sadly, my Deperdussin crashed during takeoff on its maiden flight. I discuss what went wrong and ways to fix this on future flights.
I also do over another Sig Pioneers of Flight RC airplane kits with the Demoiselle RC model that I build back in 2005. The Demoiselle flew very well and is one of the most unique models that I have constructed.
RC airplane flight videos are shown of the Blackburn monoplane, the Demoiselle and the Deperdussin.
The build process of the Demoiselle led to my design of the Blackburn Type D monoplane, which I cover. This led to my decision to build the Deperdussin.
