Historical Belle | How to Make an Oven Mitt: Easy Sewing Tutorial and an Apron from Australia!! @HistoricalBelle | Uploaded January 2024 | Updated October 2024, 9 minutes ago.
Hi Everyone! Thank you for stopping by the sewing room today. In this video I will show you how I made an oven mitt using a vintage pattern: I used Simplicity Pattern 6206 which was an authentically reproduced pattern from the 1960's

It has become a tradition of this time of year to do a collab with some sewing friends across the world and internet, this year Annabelle of @AnnabelleAndBensAntics , Amy of @SwimminginaSeaofEstrogen , and I have come together to spread holiday cheer by creating and sending aprons to one another.

I drew Amy and decided to make her a vintage 1960's style apron with POCKETS perfect for holiday baking! Aprons are great gifts that you can make and then give to your family and friends. I had left over fabric, so I decided to make an oven mitt to match the apron! I think this is a great way to make your homemade gift even better and use up your scraps! I hope this video inspires and helps you with your holiday making, baking, and giving.
