Historical Belle | How to Make a Mans Medieval T-Tunic with Just a T-Shirt: Easy Sewing Tutorial @HistoricalBelle | Uploaded August 2023 | Updated October 2024, 2 hours ago.
In this video I will show you how to make a mens' tunic from the high middle ages (specifically 1200-1250 Europe) with just a T-shirt and some fabric. Today, these tunics are sometime colloquially called "T-Tunics" as they kind of look like a T when laid flat. I originally made this outfit for my husband so that he could volunteer at the Mediaeval Themed Homeschool Day where I work, but then we decided that we needed more places to wear these outfits, so we looked up our local Society of Creative Anachronism (SCA) shire and attended our 1st event with them. More on that later...
A "T-Tunic" is a great 1st sewing project for anyone who is interested in getting into historical costuming.
