In my latest video I showed you how to make a som tum (green papaya salad) without a mortar and pestle. But many of you HAVE a M&P, but it's too small for the amount of salad you want to make, so this is what you do. Switch to hand-massage part way.
This recipe is a "som tum pla ra" or "som tum lao" which I describe has a more FULL BODIED and umami version of papaya salad compared to the one typically offered in Thai restaurants.
Didn't mean to film an ASMR but for once my son isn't screaming in the background while I'm cooking 😂.
