The Wood Yogi | How to Make a Live Edge Carving Chisel Rack - Woodworking Project @TheWoodYogi | Uploaded 6 years ago | Updated 2 hours ago
This is how I made a Chisel rack for a set of Carving Chisels I turned new Handles for.
I made it from a piece of 'Tree of Heaven' Ailanthus altissima, also known as Chinese Sumac. The wood was much harder than I expected, but it worked very well.
I wanted the Rack to have a stand and be able to store away when not in use, so I bent some 4mm Steel Rod to form a detachable Stand.
It is a contemporary design and I like the finished result. It will be a pleasure to use in the future.
This is an easy woodworking project and part of the long list of ideas to tidy and organise my Workshop.
