This quick tutorial will demonstrate how to knit the rice stitch, which has a pleasing bumpy texture on the front, whilst the back looks more like single ribbing. This is a great pattern for beginners as it only consists of knit, purl and k1 tbl (knit one through the back loop) stitches.
At the end I also provide the pattern for knitting rice stitch in the round.
