In this DROPS video we show you how to increase 1 stitch between 2 stitches and be
left with a small hole. The increases can be worked individually or with several increases above each other, creating a line of holes; great for raglan for example.

BEFORE STARTING THE VIDEO:
Work garter stitch to where you are going to increase.

THE VIDEO SHOWS:
RIGHT SIDE:
The increase is worked by using the left needle to pick up the strand between 2 stitches
from the previous row. The strand is picked up from the back and the stitch is knitted
through the loop which lies on the back of the needle (= new stitch). In the video we work 1 garter stitch before repeating the increase. If you are working several increases next to each other and several times in height (i.e., every 2nd row), make sure to increase on each side of the same stitch.
