In this DROPS video we show you how to increase 1 stitch by working 1 yarn over which is purl twisted on the next row. The increases can be worked individually or you can work several increases above each other creating a line; great for raglan for example.

BEFORE STARTING THE VIDEO:
Increase on each side of 1 stitch. Work stocking stitch to where you are going to increase.

THE VIDEO SHOWS:
RIGHT SIDE:
After the last stitch is worked, make 1 yarn over (= 1 new stitch), work 1 stocking stitch, make 1 yarn over (= 1 new stitch).
WRONG SIDE:
From the wrong side, the yarn overs are purl twisted so the yarn over is closed.
If you are increasing several times above each other (i.e., on every 2nd row), remember to make sure that the increases are on each side of the same stitches.
