The Bridge to Nowhere hike is a 10 mile round trip through the East Fork of the San Gabriel River with six river crossings. The trail starts at the East Fork Trailhead in Angeles National Forest, about an hour from downtown LA, and runs through the Sheep Mountain Wilderness. You'll navigate old roads, boulder sections, and water crossings before reaching the abandoned bridge. No permit required for day hiking. River levels vary by season, spring runoff means higher, colder water. Bring shoes you can get wet and expect some route-finding through the wash.
