Samsung Galaxy S26 Camera: Fix Unstable Video on S26 Plus and S26 Ultra With Stabilization Settings!
How to Fix Shaky and Unstable Video on Samsung Galaxy S26, S26 Plus and S26 Ultra Camera
Learn how to fix unstable, shaky, jerky, or unsteady video recordings on the Samsung Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26 Plus, and Galaxy S26 Ultra Camera.

If your recorded videos appear unstable while walking, moving the phone, panning, or recording handheld, the Galaxy S26 Camera provides stabilization features that can help reduce unwanted movement. Samsung lists Video stabilization and Super Steady among the available camera features.

Start by opening the Camera app and switching to Video mode. Check the Quick Controls and enable Super Steady when you need stronger stabilization for active or handheld recording. Samsung describes Super Steady as a stabilization feature designed to reduce shakiness and blurriness in videos.

For compatible Galaxy S26 models and recording situations, you can also use Super Steady with Horizontal Lock. This feature is designed to stabilize footage while keeping the horizon level during movement and rotation. Open Camera, select Video, tap the Super Steady icon, and choose Super steady with horizontal lock when available.

For better results, hold the phone with both hands, keep your elbows close to your body, and move smoothly. When walking, take controlled steps and avoid sudden movements. A tripod, monopod, or other stable support can provide even better results for stationary recordings.

If Super Steady produces poor results in dark environments, try recording with better lighting. Samsung notes that Super Steady can affect shutter speed and may introduce noise in low light. It can also produce flickering or black streaks under some indoor lighting conditions.

If your video is unstable even with stabilization enabled, check whether the problem occurs with different lenses and camera modes. Also make sure the camera lenses are clean and that your case or accessories are not interfering with the camera.

Restart the Galaxy S26 series phone and check for software and app updates. Samsung recommends keeping the device and apps updated when troubleshooting device problems.

If the Camera app itself behaves abnormally, clearing the Camera app cache and testing the phone in Safe Mode can help determine whether a temporary software problem or third-party application is involved. Samsung community guidance for Galaxy S26 camera-shaking issues also recommends these troubleshooting steps.

If the camera image physically shakes, makes unusual buzzing sounds, remains blurry, or continues shaking across different camera modes, the problem could require hardware inspection. In that situation, contact Samsung support or an authorized service center rather than attempting to repair the camera yourself.

The exact stabilization options and menu names can vary depending on the Galaxy S26, S26 Plus, or S26 Ultra model, One UI version, Camera app version, recording mode, and region.
