Enable 360 Audio Recording on Samsung Galaxy S26, S26 Plus and S26 Ultra for Immersive Video Sound
Learn how to enable 360 Audio Recording on the Samsung Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26 Plus, and Galaxy S26 Ultra Camera. 360 Audio Recording is designed to capture spatial, three-dimensional sound while recording video when used with compatible Galaxy Buds. Samsung explains that the feature can capture sounds around you from different directions, creating a more immersive audio experience.
Before trying to enable the feature, connect compatible Galaxy Buds to your Galaxy phone through Bluetooth and the Galaxy Wearable app. Samsung's current compatibility documentation specifically lists Galaxy Buds3 Pro, Galaxy Buds3, and Galaxy Buds2 Pro for 360 Audio Recording.
To check the setting, open the Camera app, tap the Quick Controls or Settings icon, select Advanced video options, and look for 360 Audio Recording. Samsung's documented steps use this Camera settings path.
After enabling the option, return to Video mode. When 360 Audio Recording is active on a supported setup, the Camera app can display 360 MIC while recording. Start recording to capture the video and spatial audio, and the finished video can be viewed from the Gallery app.
An important point is that 360 Audio and 360 Audio Recording are different features. 360 Audio is primarily for immersive audio playback through compatible Galaxy Buds, while 360 Audio Recording is a Camera feature intended to capture spatial audio during video recording.
If 360 Audio Recording is missing or greyed out, check your Galaxy Buds compatibility, Bluetooth connection, Galaxy Wearable connection, and software versions. Samsung notes that One UI 5 or later is required, and compatibility depends on the supported phone and earbuds combination.
Also note that enabling 360 Audio Recording disables the Zoom-in mic function.
For the best results, keep the compatible Galaxy Buds connected, update your phone and earbuds software, test the feature with a short video first, and avoid confusing the regular 360 Audio playback setting with the Camera's 360 Audio Recording option.
