Play Hooky with Me | How to Finger Knit a Ribbed Blanket [Washer and Dryer Safe] @PlayHookywithMe | Uploaded October 2021 | Updated October 2024, 13 hours ago.
Even easier finger knit blanket: youtu.be/Gr-a15uJaoY
In this video, I share how to finger knit a chenille chunky ribbed blanket. No experience with knitting necessary! The throw featured in this video is 3 ft x 4 ft and I used 5 balls of Bernat Blanket Yarn (32 yards in each skein) . For a 4 ft x 5 ft , I'd recommend 6.
For gauge
1ft x 1ft uses 105 grams and 36.6 yards
(a full ball is 300 grams and 32 yards)
If you want to make a blanket with 2 ribs instead of 3, work in multiples of 2 but make
sure your chain ends with a number that was multiplied by an odd number.
E.g. I want to chain to 3 ft , so 26 or 30 chains would be good (2 x 13 , 2 x15)
This will ensure that you get equal ribs on both edges.
Hope you give it a try!
