Here is a fast and easy chunky blanket that will take 6-8 hours to make.
This pattern is ideal for beginners or if you are wanting to whip something up quickly.
The blanket in the video measures approx. 4' x 5' ft ( 50" x 60" in) using a 12 mm hook.

🧶 Pattern:
Foundation: Ch a multiple of 2 (for sample blanket, ch 66).
Row 1: Hdc in 4th ch from hook (counts as hdc + ch-1 ).
Ch 1, hdc in same ch (Mini V-Stitch made). * Sk 1 ch, in next ch work (hdc, ch 1, hdc). Repeat from * across. End with 1 hdc in last ch. Turn.
Row 2: Ch 2 (counts as hdc), skip first st.
*Work (hdc, ch 1, hdc) into each ch-1 sp of the Mini V-Stitch from previous row. Repeat across. End with hdc in top of turning ch (or around it for a straighter edge). Turn.
Tip: If you’re having trouble finding the ch-1 space, it’s always two stitches over—skip the hdc, skip the next hdc, and then work into the ch-1 space.
Row 3 and beyond: Repeat Row 2 until blanket reaches desired length.
Join skeins with the magic knot (fisherman’s knot) for a secure, invisible join.
Fasten off and weave in ends securely.
