🎄 In this video, I’ll show you how to make a classic granny-style Christmas tree skirt that’s worked flat so it wraps easily around the base of your tree. It’s easy to memorize, simple to resize, and most importantly fun!
Finished Size:
– Diameter: approx. 36" (91 cm)
– Center opening: 3" (7.5 cm)
– Total rows: 34

Rows: 7 rows high
Stitch Count: 4 granny clusters + 1 dc per row
Hook: 5 mm (H-8)

Granny Stripe Swatch Pattern:
Starting Chain: Ch 16 (multiple of 3 = 15, then +1)
Row 1:
Dc in 4th ch from hook, dc in same ch.
Sk 2 ch, 3 dc in next ch repeat across.
When 3 ch remain: sk 2, dc in last ch. Turn.
Row 2 (Repeat Row):
Ch 3, turn.
2 dc in first space.
3 dc in each space across repeat to end.
Dc in last st. Turn.
Repeat Row 2 until the swatch measures 4 in (10 cm) tall.
Troubleshooting:
Too Wide: Tension too loose → use a smaller hook.
Too Narrow: Tension too tight → use a larger hook.
Too Tall / Too Short: Adjust hook size until 7 rows = 4 in.
