About this video: This is our complete guide on how to download Minecraft mods for 26.1 as well as how to install them. We have setup this guide to work with Forge, NeoForge, and Fabric mods. That way you will be able to play the Minecraft 26.1 mods you want no matter what mod loader they are on.
To do this, we are going to be using CurseForge. There is a link in the description above to download CurseForge. On that page, click download, and then click the “Download Standalone” button to get the installer.
From there, things install just like any other program. Open the CurseForge installer, and click Next, agree to their terms, and it will install. It should automatically open when it’s done.
In the installer, click on Minecraft, click “Continue”, select “Minecraft Launcher, and now, you will be on your My Modpacks tab. You’ll see a “Create” button. Click that and name your mod profile. Then, select 26.1 as your version and the mod loader you want to use. Generally, I recommend Fabric unless there is a specific NeoForge or Forge mod you want. The process of installing mods is the same for them all though. Create your profile when finished.
You will then be taken to a page with a “+ Add Content” button. Clicking this wil take you to where you can see all of the mods for CurseForge and the version and mod loader you selecting. To install Minecraft mods in 26.1 just click the “Install” button on the mods you want. Everything, including dependency mods, will automatically be downloaded.
Go back to your “My Modpacks” tab, and you will see your installation, hover over it and click Play. You will then need to login to Minecraft. After which, you can Play just like you would without mods in the Minecraft Launcher that opens.
When you’re in-game all of your mods will be active, and you’ll be good to go!
