About this video: This video will show you every single step of how to get started with CurseForge mods and modpacks on Mac.
To get started, you will need to download CurseForge. There is a link in the description above to our complete CurseForge guide. Click download here and the “Download for MacOS” to start downloading the CurseForge Installer.
Open the file you downloaded, and drag-and-drop the CurseForge icon into the applications folder and wait for it to install. Then, open the CurseForge app. In the app, select “Minecraft”, and then Standard, Launch with Mojang.
Now, click the “+ Create” button, name your installation, and select your mod loader. After it is created, click on it, and add any mods, shaders, worlds, etc. that you want.
You can also search for modpacks at the top of CurseForge and install them on your Mac. Whether you made your own mod installation or got a modpack, you can now go to the “My Modpacks” tab and click the “Play” button on them to launch the Minecraft Launcher.
From there, login to Minecraft like you normally would, select “Minecraft Java Edition” on the left-hand sidebar, and click the Play button.
