About this video: In this video, we're going to show you exactly how to download and install Fabric for Minecraft on Mac. Fabric is one of the most popular Minecraft mod loaders, and this video will walk you through everything you need to get Fabric mods running when playing Minecraft on Mac. Let's get started.
First, download Fabric. There's a link in the description above that will take you to our text guide on getting Fabric. From there, click download, go to the official download page, and click the "Download Universal JAR" button. The Fabric installer will then download.
You'll also want to download some Fabric mods. Specifically, the Fabric API is linked above and is required for pretty much every Fabric mod. We also have links to CurseForge and Modrinth, where you can download tons of different Fabric mods that will work for Minecraft on your Mac.
Once you have all your mods downloaded, we can get them installed, starting with Fabric itself. Open the Fabric installer by double-clicking the file you downloaded. You will most likely need Java for this, and there is a guide in the description above on how to get Java up and running on macOS.
After that, you'll be able to double-click the Fabric installer. You will probably still get a warning that the file was denied because it was downloaded from the internet. That's perfectly normal. Go to your settings, then privacy and security, and scroll down to the bottom of that tab where you'll see an "Open Anyway" button. Click that, confirm you want to open Fabric, and the Fabric installer will open. Select the version you want to install Fabric for and click install. Fabric will then install into Minecraft automatically.
Next, we need to install our mods. Open the Minecraft launcher, go to the "Versions" tab, and click the folder icon on your Fabric installation. This will open your Minecraft folder, where you should have a "mods" folder. If you don't have one, create a "mods" folder and open it. Move any Fabric mods you want to install directly into this "mods" folder. From here, go back to the Minecraft launcher and play using your Fabric installation. All of your mods will now be installed in-game on your Mac.
If you have any questions, let us know in the comments. You now know how to get Fabric mods on macOS. If we helped you out, be sure to give the video a thumbs up and subscribe to the channel if you haven't already. Thank you very much in advance.
