Ever wondered how to assemble coaxial cable connectors?
At RFShop, we don’t just assemble coax cables; we show you how it’s done.
Here’s a quick look at our 8-step coaxial cable assembly process straight from our South Australian workshop:
Step 1: Confirm cable requirements
Step 2: Select the right connectors
Step 3: Cut the cable to length
Step 4: Prepare the cable ends
Step 5: Assemble with care
Step 6: Crimp ferrules to manufacturer’s specification
Step 7: Heat shrink and label
Step 8: Test for performance & compliance
Whether it's for Defence, Mining, or Automotive applications, we're proud to show you the process behind what makes our cables reliable in the field.

![Why I Love the Yagi Antenna
- So, why do I love the Yagi antenna? Its all about physics and fundamentals, really.
The Yagi–Uda antenna was invented in 1926 by Shintaro Uda of Tohoku Imperial University,[5] Sendai, Japan, with the collaboration of Hidetsugu Yagi, also of Tohoku Imperial University.[6] Yagi and Uda published their first report on the wave projector directional antenna. Yagi demonstrated a proof of concept, but the engineering problems proved to be more onerous than conventional systems. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yagi%E2%80%93Uda_antenna#cite_note-Brown138-15 )
So its almost no coincidence that Im here at the Golden Gate Bridge. I am on my way to Denver for the IMS 2022, and I just wanted to take a moment here to almost celebrate the ingenuity and engineering of the 1934 opening of the Golden Gate Bridge, which, only eight years earlier, the patent for Yagi antenna was registered by Yagi and Uda.
Im also just thinking Im still pretty tired after a 14 hour trip from Adelaide to San Francisco, so the whole history of avionics in 1904 really comes to mind for me today. So I just wanna basically spend a moment to celebrate the real fundamentals, cause in avionics, in the civil industry, and also in the antenna industry, Yagis have been established almost a hundred years ago. Its still one of our fundamental building blocks.
Im gonna spend a lot of time going forward on this channel, and just with RFShop in general to work on the principles, Also Black Art Technologies, just work on the principles, cause the principles are the things that never change, cause physics is physics. Yagi antenna is a absolutely phenomenal example of how things can be done.
