Over the last number of months our Youtube channel has produced a lot of interesting questions. One popular question is whether the ultra high gain but low cost (or simply cheap) 4G Antennas found on eBay or elsewhere is worth it.
We believe it's worth a video, but we also believe it's not really worth spending too much time or money on this topic. The answer is quite short; if it's too good to be true, it probably is just that...too good to be true.
Many budget friendly 4G Antennas online are promoted as special Huawei or NetGear modems, called 4G MIMO Antennas and promise the world.
In this video I basically aim to share our opinion, but explain in some basic terms why the small antennas can't be that high gain and highlight the fact that the small TS9 connectors with RG174 coaxial cable of 3m long is a really bad idea.
