You see it. You can hear it. You know exactly what that impactful video is going to look like. But when you try to express your vision to the board or leadership of your Catholic organization, you are met with blank stares.

It’s hard to articulate a creative vision. But there is hope.

First, gather inspiration. Look for images and videos, both in the Catholic space and not. Make notes on what you like, what you don’t, and why. You can use YouTube, Instagram and Vimeo to find video examples, and platforms like Pinterest and Behance for images.

Then, fill in any gaps not shown by examples. You don’t have to be a filmmaker to use your phone to capture a low-quality example. You don’t have to be a writer to etch out a rough draft of a script.

Finally, collect it all into a clean Powerpoint to show your board or leadership. To seal the deal, include research or quotes on the cost and potential return of your inspired video.
