In his experience as a Wesleyan pastor, aside from having an Advent wreath, Luke Nelson's congregation didn't make a clear distinction between Advent and Christmas; in some ways, they'd been celebrating Christmas for weeks by the time December 25th arrived.

Luke shares how discovering the tradition of the liturgical observance of Advent has helped him to enter deeply into the mystery of waiting and preparation that has since greatly enriched his experience of Christmas when it finally arrives.
