Phillip Seeberg's roots in the Jewish faith deeply formed him and helped give him a unique framework for believing in Jesus as the Messiah, leading to him become a Christian during his college years.

He shares how the roots of the Catholic Mass are in the worship and experience of the earliest Christians, many of whom were Jews. The primacy of Scripture in worship, the progression of the liturgy, and several other elements of the Mass can be traced back to the worship of God that came through Judaism and is fulfilled in Jesus.
