For years, sports photographers have relied on Photo Mechanic to quickly cull through hundreds of images at games, working on deadline, to find the best of the best. The problem is now, with the Sony A9III as the standard of sports photography cameras that can shoot up to 120 frames per second, we are now editing through thousands of images, not hundreds. This video will be boring for many of you as I literally pour through 5,000 images to select just 200 keepers from a recent game I shot. This is an editing video, and editing is boring, so you have been warned. I shot this game with the following equipment: A1/50mm f/2.5 compact prime, A9III/300GM, A9III/600GM.
