I got an early pre-production copy of the new Sony FE300mm f/2.8GM lens to try out for four days. I shot three football games in a row (2- high school and one NCAA game). I started in Tennessee and then flew down to Dallas, TX to shoot as many games as I could. The new 300mm f/2.8GM lens is amazing-- lightweight, small and compact, sharp, and with wicked fast autofocus performance. It is the lightest weight 300mm f/2.8 lens ever made, weighing just 51 ounces.

I just spent a long week shooting four basketball games, baseball, softball, a tennis match and a tennis practice, a high-end lit portrait, and a K9 catching fly balls. I shot just under 15,000 images. Here is my best advice for how to set your Alpha 1 up when you take it out of the box. Enjoy!!!
