I got an early pre-production copy of the new Sony FE300mm f/2.8GM lens to try out for four days. I shot three football games in a row (2- high school and one NCAA game). I started in Tennessee and then flew down to Dallas, TX to shoot as many games as I could. The new 300mm f/2.8GM lens is amazing-- lightweight, small and compact, sharp, and with wicked fast autofocus performance. It is the lightest weight 300mm f/2.8 lens ever made, weighing just 51 ounces.
