Today at Sheraton Park Farms, we are looking at a massive farm restock, harvesting from the summer garden, and sharing a completely transparent story about the biggest financial risk we took to scale our business.

We start the morning out in the garden with Chuck handling some essential mid-summer maintenance. We’re pulling weeds, pruning back the tomatoes to maximize air flow, hoeing the corn, and harvesting the first fresh produce that is ready for the kitchen.

Then, Saundra arrives back at the farm with a massive haul from the butcher—3 heritage pigs and 2 entire beef cattle! We take you inside our commercial walk-in freezer to show you some of the incredible, beautiful cuts of grass-fed beef and pastured pork as we organize and load dozens of boxes into our inventory storage.

With the freezer completely packed, we sit down to share the raw story behind this critical piece of equipment. We bought this walk-in freezer at a time when cash was incredibly tight on the farm, and it felt like a massive gamble. But it completely revolutionized our business.

Chuck and Saundra break down the philosophy of "you have to spend money to make money." We explain how investing in infrastructure allowed us to store massive amounts of inventory, handle high-volume bulk orders, and scale our retail operations without running out of product. If you are an aspiring homesteader, a small business owner, or just curious about how an independent farm actually makes a living, this conversation is for you.
