Bulletproof Collagen Protein Bars are the easiest way to get grass-fed collagen protein on the go without sapping your macros. But if you don’t tolerate nuts, these homemade collagen protein bars are the next best thing — and they’re easy to customize. Get wild and include dark chocolate chunks, pumpkin pie spice, cinnamon, sea salt or chunks of cacao butter.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup unsweetened coconut butter
- 1 tablespoon Bulletproof Grass-Fed Ghee (or coconut oil for dairy-free option)
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon Bulletproof Brain Octane MCT oil
- 1/2 cup grass-fed Bulletproof Collagen Protein
- 1 tablespoon non-GMO erythritol, birch xylitol or stevia
- Optional add ins: Lemon juice and rind, cacao powder, ginger, turmeric
Instructions:
1. In a mixing bowl, blender, or food processor, add all ingredients and gently blend until well-combined.
2. Taste the mixture, and add more sweetener or vanilla if needed.
3. Line a small dish or tray with parchment, then add protein bar base. Smooth into one uniform piece to make slicing easier later.
4. Freeze for one hour, or until firm.
5. Slice into six bars and serve. Store leftovers in the refrigerator or freezer.
Serves: 6
