You can’t have PB & J without the J, but most of the jams and jellies at your local grocery store are loaded with extra ingredients. This easy berry acai jam recipe is a different story. The berries and Blueberry Acai Collagen Protein Joint Boost are deliciously sweet on their own, so this jam doesn’t even need extra sweetener. Try it on gluten-free bread, or as a fruity topping with your favorite yogurt or pancakes.
Ingredients:
- 300 grams frozen organic mixed berries
- 1 tsp. gelatin powder mixed with 2-3 tsp water (try Collagelatin: shop.bulletproof.com/collections/collagen-protein/products/collagelatin-net-wt-16-oz)
- 3-4 tsp. Collagen Protein Joint Boost (shop.bulletproof.com/collections/collagen-protein/products/collagen-protein-joint-boost-9-4-oz)
- 1 tsp. quality vanilla extract
Instructions:
1. Mix the gelatin and water together in a small dish. Set aside and allow the gelatin to bloom (thicken) for 1 minute.
2. Add the frozen berries, bloomed gelatin and vanilla into a saucepan and bring to a simmer.
3. Simmer the berries until the liquid starts to evaporate. This will take roughly 15-20 minutes.
4. Remove from the heat and allow it to cool.
5. Mix 3 tsp. of the Collagen Protein Joint Boost into the jam mixture until evenly combined. Taste it and add 1 more tsp. if desired. Enjoy!
